Kate Jackson, Mezzo-Soprano
IAmerican mezzo-soprano, Kate Jackson, hails from Valdosta, GA. She recently debuted the role of Zita (Gianni Schicchi), Orlafsky (Die Fledermaus), and Hansel (Hansel and Gretel). Ms. Jackson has also starred as the featured soloist for famous masterworks such as Mozart’s Requiem and Solemn Vespers. Her upcoming roles include Mother in Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors and the title role of Dido in Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. Ms. Jackson has sung with Opera Orlando, Ozark Ballet Theater, and various university productions. She is currently working on her master’s at the University of Arkansas and studies with her mentor, Dr. Lenora Green-Turner.
